Coffee Trailer Manager - Funk Zone, Santa Barbara

With our first “bricks and mortar” cafe now open in Buellton, Zaca Coffee plans to add a full service Coffee and Espresso Bar Trailer in the center of Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone. Our goal is to share our passion for great coffee with Santa Barbara and we are looking for others to join the team!

Specifically, we need an experienced Barista who can also manage the Zaca Trailer.  This person should be proactive, self-motivated, willing to jump in, detail oriented, customer-focused and a team player.  The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, customer facing setting who is ready with outside the box ideas and a passion for craft coffee!  We are looking for someone who loves coffee, is a self starter and a problem solver able to work independently to “get the job done.”   

Candidate attributes: 

Love for coffee and passion to expand Zaca Coffee customer base.
Ability to prepare wide range of espresso drinks.
Abillity to oversee all aspects of self-contained trailer operations working with the GM and Zaca Coffee owners.
Interest and ability to oversee standards for service, and training of staff.

Job requirements:
Minimum 2 years as barista.
Coffee shop management experience ideal.
Ability to maintain trailer and coffee related machines - espresso machine, grinders, brewers - set-up, break down.
Ability to carry a minimum of 25 lbs up and down trailer steps.
Patient, problem-solving attitude and a sense of humor. 
A basic knowledge of machinery is a benefit.
Good customer service attitude and ability to engage with customers.
32 hours/week, full-time possible

Compensation is hourly DOE (range to start at $22.50), plus additional cash and card (paycheck) tips.

Location - the trailer (Josephine) will be located in the heart of the Funk Zone.

Experienced Baristas - Funk Zone

Zaca Coffee seeks Baristas interested in joining the fun with the Zaca Coffee team. The team will be located in Zaca's mobile espresso trailer in the Funk Zone, Santa Barbara.  We need people who are self-motivated, willing to jump in, detail oriented, customer-focused and team players. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a customer facing setting who is ready with out of the box ideas and a passion for sharing coffee!  

 Job overview: 

• Part-time, 2 - 4 shifts weekly. 
• Must be available 6:30 am - 1:30 pm at least 3 days/week.  
• Barista experience preferred and willing to learn Zaca’s coffee prep techniques. 
• Must be comfortable handling money and POS system following company SOPs and standards of service.  
• Must be comfortable lifting at least 25 lbs, climbing up and down steps to trailer, and willing to learn new skills within the coffee service setting. 
• Must be willing to assist in managing machines and supporting trailer team with set-up, break down.
• Requires patience and problem-solving attitude.  
• Requires following health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation.

Sales/Delivery Driver

Zaca Coffee seeks a Sales and Delivery Driver that can help make coffee deliveries throughout the Central Coast and will also have the opportunity to establish new accounts for the company.

Specifics of the job:
- Part time hours are flexible but job will require 20 – 25 hours/week with potential for growth.
- Outgoing, engaging personality preferred.
- Must be comfortable with making “cold call” sales pitch.
- Using our awesome Chevy Astro, 'Flat White', deliver preordered items or inquire for restock.
- Check in with staff at store locations.
- Loading and unloading from vehicle as the route requires.
- Check and rotate stock as needed, replenishing point of sale marketing materials, photographing where necessary and ensuring products are properly displayed.

Must Have :
- Valid California Driver’s license
- Clean driving record (minimum 2 years licensed)
- Basic Math Skill
- Attention to Detail
- Able to lift, push, pull up to 40 pounds
- Self-sufficient and efficient
- Able to perform under time restrictions
